Also Exhibiting for British Silver Week at S.J.Phillips, London

May 13, 2009

As well as exhibiting throughout May till July in ‘Emboss’ at the RBSA Gallery, I will also be exhibiting for British Silver Week at S.J.Phillips Ltd on New Bond St, London. An impressive antique silver gallery who are opening their historic doors to a new age and allowing a few select contemporary silversmiths to exhibit their treasures amongst their more traditional wares.

Dates: 8th – 17th June

Opening Hours: 10am – 5pm weekdays

Address: 139 New Bond Street,

T: +44 20 76 29 62 61

Founded in 1869, S.J.Phillips is one of the oldest family owned antique shops in the world. It is run by Nicolas, Jonathan and Francis Norton, great grandsons of S.J.Phillips.The company specialises in European silver, antique and estate jewellery and beautiful gold snuff boxes. Do come and delve into this treasure trove of objets de vertu, it is a refreshing change to see contemporary, modern pieces sitting side by side with some of the world’s most valuable, and historical artifacts. These pieces hold so much meaning and memory within their polished silver, reminding us of a reminiscent past and bringing the future to this within British Silver Week is an unexpected, yet delightful idea.
