News for March!

March 21, 2011

Well, it’s been a little while since I’ve written since I’ve been rushed off my feet getting ready for the new collection launch. It’s been an exciting few weeks and I’m excited to share with you the latest collection (please see ‘Phi’ post below).

Phi was inspired by the greek symbol which represents the perfect ratio/proportions of beauty. It has been applied to works of art by the likes of Leonardo Da Vinci as well as many famous architects. I used a variation of this symbol as our logo and then decided that I like the form so much that I wanted to do a collection inspired by it.

As the logo represents beauty, proportions and perfection I used this concept to guide my designs. I wanted to create a collection that added to the natural beauty of every woman without overshadowing her. This collection includes sensual flashes of metal against skin, a glimpse of a ruby or tiny diamonds that catch the light which are subtle and ethereal.

Before designing the collection I noticed a definite trend towards ‘second skin’ jewellery and I really wanted to create a collection that our girl’s could wear day in day out, to work, for coffee meetings, socialising and partying, even to bed. It needed to be delicate, feminine and totally wearable. I can vouch for this as I have been wearing my favourite pieces since the launch and they are so comfortable that I forget I even have them on until someone compliments me on them!

I’ve enjoyed layering up the jewellery so that it gives a casual, funky look but they can also be worn very minimally to create a fresh, simple look.

I am in the process of uploading this collection onto the new website, so please do take a look at www.phioro.com and if there is anything that isn’t up yet please don’t hestitate to email me at: clare@phioro.com and I will process your order personally.

Thanks! Clare 🙂
